JOB DESCRIPTION

Primary Responsibilities:

The Varsity Venue General Manager is responsible for supporting, guiding and delivering the functional operations of the Varsity Group in line with the organisational brand and strategic plan. Ultimately, the Varsity Venue General Manager is responsible for ensuring consistency and quality within their venue.

As the Head Coach for their venue, they are responsible for ensuring accountability across the venue, managing both FOH and BOH teams and ensuring the venue is hitting it's financial and customer service targets., driving exceptional customer service and the Varsity cultural vibes in venue.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or significant Venue Management experience, ready to take your next step within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong ability to deliver exceptional KPI results including COGs, Wage % and Customer Service across both BOH and FOH teams.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Ability to work closely with both BOH and FOH teams, understanding the uniqueness of each and the financial KPI's.
  • Proficient in bar operations, including inventory management, POS systems, and financial controls.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
