Circus Circus is a bustling cafés located in the heart of Mt Eden Village. We are on the lookout for dynamic Bakers/Pastry Chefs. Renowned since 1995 for our commitment to quality café fare made from locally sourced ingredients, we have a strong focus on our cabinet offerings with a variety of savoury and pastry items such as our famous cakes, slices, desserts, gourmet sandwiches, pies, filo creations and more. We are looking for someone passionate about baking who has creative flare and will ensure our cabinets and bursting with delicious sweets and savouries.
This hands-on role requires a candidate who not only has a love for exceptional food but also the passion and skill to produce it consistently, with a particular focus on our cakes, slices, savoury and pastry cabinet offerings.

About You
Possess a proactive 'can do' attitude, thriving in a busy, fast-paced setting with a positive and passionate approach.
Excellent problem-solving skills, ready to tackle each day with drive and professionalism.
Please note: You should have a minimum up to 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.
The Role – Experience & Skills Required
Proficient in product preparation and baking, with a special emphasis on sweet treats (cakes, slices, doughnuts, etc.)
Skilled in presenting high-quality products to meet evolving customer preferences while maintaining consistency.
Assisting the chef with daily order lists.
Precise preparation of ingredients according to recipes.
Strict adherence to food safety standards and company policies.
Deep passion for baking, with a particular interest in savoury and pastry items.
Resilience under pressure.
Excellent communication skills.
Punctuality and professional presentation.
Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety in your work area.
