JOB DESCRIPTION

The Role:   

The role of Venue Manager demands seasoned, inspirational hands-on leadership, crafting an engaged team of high performers that deliver excellence consistently that is true to the Workshop experience and service ethos. 

A grounded, down to earth, customer facing approach and solid business development and financial control management are essential. A rare opportunity for a seasoned, hands on, commercially savvy Venue Manager to lead & drive a high-volume bar & eatery.

As Restaurant / Venue Manager you are expected to be well presented, friendly, enthusiastic and willing to give 100% and be a very hands on manager.

Duties will also include running shifts, rosters, stock control and ordering and all other day to day running of the business.

You are also required to promote and maintain the reputation of the establishment by ensuring and providing excellent customer care and service.

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities Include:   

  •  Oversee Food, Gaming and Beverage operations in the Venue   
  •  Ensure all Front of House team member duties are carried out to the expected Venue standard    
  •  Lead, direct and assist with all aspects of food and beverage service to Venue brand standards following the venue ‘order of service’  
  •  Uphold and actively manage the venue responsibilities relevant to the current Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act and ensure comprehensive knowledge and practise of the venue alcohol management plan   
  •  Supervise others including delegating workloads, motivating staff and effectively resolving disputes and/or issues

  •  You’ll utilise your experience to balance and manage operations behind the scenes with ease. A current GM cert is essential for this role

 Workshop is part of West Auckland Trust Services collectively known at The Trusts.  There are 22 West Liquor and Village, Wine & Spirits stores, 4 Liquorland's, 8 hospitality venues and The Quality Hotel Lincoln Green.  We are all about keeping things local in our community and giving back to West Auckland.  

 Workshop Bar is a cool, relaxed neighbourhood pub with a high-quality back bar & tap offering & casual eats to keep locals & citywide guests coming back for more. 

  • Planning and organising special events
  • Arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget
  • Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions
  • Assist team during trading to run meals and clearing tables
  • Conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service
  • Selecting, training and supervising staff
  • Taking reservations, greeting guests and assisting in taking orders
  • Answer emails and all other customer queries
