About the role:

Perfect blend of classic and art deco designs, Fable Auckland Hotel is looking for an enthusiastic, professional and passionate Night Audit / Night Porter to join our busy and hardworking night team!

You will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest services during the night shift. You will be working a minimum of 16 hours per week, generally starting at 11pm and finishing at 7.30am. 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure all late arrival guests and visitors are warmly welcomed
  • Checking in and checking out guests
  • Promptly and professionally answering guest enquiries
  • Perform and assist Night Audit operations
  • Conversant with the property’s reservations systems and processes
  • Daily cashiering functions and other general front desk duties
  • Ensure security and safety of the property at all times
  • Assist Concierge and Porter for after and early hours of valet service. 

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Concierge
Front Office
Duty Manager

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 6 months previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

Requirements and Skills:

  • Previous experience in hospitality, hotel guest services/housekeeping preferred
  • A positive, reliable, and can-do attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy
  • Calm, efficient, and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Previous experience in cash handling
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Current eligibility to work in New Zealand
  • Working knowledge of Opera (preferred but not essential)
