Our ideal candidate

• Previous experience in a restaurant is preferred
• Fluent in Japanese and proficient in English
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings

What you will do

• Greet customers as they arrive at the restaurant and show them to their seats
• Provide menu recommendations and answer questions about dishes and ingredients
• Take orders using a point-of-sale system
• Deliver food and drinks to customers and ensure that they are satisfied with their meals
• Clear tables and clean up after customers to ensure a clean and welcoming environment
• Work with other staff members, including chefs and kitchen staff, to ensure timely service and quality food
• Provide excellent customer service at all times, and go above and beyond to meet customers' needs
• Upsell menu items and specials to customers when appropriate
• Ensure that all cash and credit card transactions are handled accurately and securely
• Follow all health and safety guidelines and restaurant policies and procedures
• Communicate effectively with other staff members in both English and Japanese

Available to work Tuesday-Saturday, 11am - 2:30pm and 5:30pm to 9pm
