JOB DESCRIPTION

The Venue

75 seat modern coastal Italian trattoria & bar with breath-taking marina views, located in Newport, Queensland (30 min North Brisbane city).

Sì Baby will offer a sharp but casual service, coupled with familiar and welcoming hospitality. 

Our intimate dining area can also be booked for private events. We will offer an a la carte and set menu, as well as a Gelato cart from Wednesday to Sunday located on the Jetty area across the venue.

The menu will also offer 12-inch cooked to perfection Neapolitan Pizza in our Marana Forni woodfired oven. 

 

The Role

We are looking for a talented head pizza chef to come and be part of the opening team at Sì Baby. You will be someone that loves everything pizza related, having good organisation skills and experience with high volume, as well as using a wood-fired pizza oven will be beneficial to your success. 

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Executive Chef
Head Chef
Pizza Chef
Sous chef

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.

REQUIREMENTS

Can you bring:

  • 3+ years experience working in a similar position
  • High volume pizza experience working with wood-fired ovens
  • Hand stretch doughs and good knife skills
  • Organised and attention to detail and happy working in a small team
