About the role and who we are looking for:

We are looking for enthusiastic Cleaning Assistants to work at our Senior Living site in Red Beach, Silverdale. Hours of work are Permanent Part Time Saturday & Sunday 08:00 - 13:00 (with a minimum of 5 hours per week).

We can either accommodate two cleaning assistants who can alternate a weekend day each between them or someone who is happy to work both Saturday & Sunday. To be discussed at interview.

What will you be doing??

• cleaning of the resident's rooms as well as the general areas (including bathrooms, toilets, rooms and offices.
• vacuuming and polishing floors
• emptying rubbish.
• maintaining and storing cleaning equipment and chemicals
• manage cleaning duties in a timely manner
• adhere to health, safety and security procedures.

To be considered for this position you: 

• will be a New Zealand citizen or resident or be in position of a valid NZ work visa.
• will need to Pass a Pre-employment Background Check.
• will need to provide evidence of your Covid-19 vaccination status

If you're our perfect candidate you will have a high attention to detail and be willing to go the extra mile, take pride and ownership of the role, have high standards in personal presentation, as well as a have a friendly, helpful, outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude.

You will demonstrate good working knowledge of commercial cleaning and infection control procedures and have excellent communication and strong organisational skills. Ideally you will have previous cleaning experience in an aged care environment and have own transport as you will have to work under short notice, but most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for customer service and quality.
