JOB DESCRIPTION

The Lumsden Freehouse in Newmarket is looking for a full-time Chef de Partie. You'll work closely with our Head Chef and enjoy two consecutive days off each week, because we know that you cant pour from an empty pot. 

Tasks:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef on menus that keep customers coming back.
- Manage the kitchen schedule and maintain order.
- Train the kitchen crew to be efficient and resourceful.
- Keep the kitchen running smoothly during service.
- Follow the Food Control Plan—because food safety is essential.
- Address food prep issues before they escalate.
- Handle stock ordering like a pro.
- Ensure the kitchen is spotless after every shift.
- Work with managers and waitstaff to maintain a positive atmosphere.
- Adhere to hygiene regulations.
- Maintain a tidy prep and storage area.
- Represent The Lumsden Freehouse with honesty, friendliness, and responsibility.

What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience in a commercial kitchen.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- A team player who can lead by example and teach the newbies a thing or two.
- A desire to grow in your role.
