JOB DESCRIPTION

Suga is an awesome cocktail bar situated at Palm Beach on the Gold Coast, specializing in cocktails, Rum and Whiskey.

Tasks and duties:

  • Preparing, mixing and serving cocktails, wine, beer, cider, soft drinks, water and coffee.
  • Cleaning and maintaining the bar area, especially where food and drinks are prepared.
  • Taking and handling payments for orders.
  • EFTPOS machine and point of sale terminal operation.
  • Collecting and washing glasses.
  • Tapping kegs and cleaning beer lines.
  • Maintaining compliance with liquor regulations and workplace health and safety laws.
  • Liaising with Bar Manager and security if an incident occurs.

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Bartender

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.

REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must have:

  • A minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar bar environment
  • Experience making cocktails
  • Excellent grooming and presentation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Restaurant experience also highly regarded
  • Good knowledge of cocktails, spirits and beer
  • Be able to work a roster that includes - evenings, weekends and public holidays
  • Fully vaccinated
