WHO ARE WE?

Over the past 22 years, Onesixone has managed to establish itself as one of the few institutions of Melbourne Nightlife that showcases and is home to some of Australia’s best musical talent. The venue has been hugely successful since its humble beginnings and part of this success is down to the commitment and passion shown by the staff and management. Since 1999, the venue has not changed ownership and there are currently managers that have been with the business for over 10 years. We must be doing something right! And this has been evident from the support we are shown by our wonderful, loyal clientele.

The venue is based over 3 levels (including a rooftop). It houses 4 bars, a world class sound system and a famous light-up dance floor! The capacity is over 300 people which the venue reaches every weekend without fail.

After experiencing a turbulent 2020/21, Onesixone has come out of the blocks stronger than ever and is now looking to bolster the team to take us even further. We are currently trading 4+ nights a week and have recently expanded our offering to include LIVE music and comedy nights in which we now have opportunities within the operational and promotions teams to help support them.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

Due to the additional range of new events including stand-up comedy and LIVE music nights, our ever-expanding business is looking to fill positions varying from BARTENDERS and BUSSIES to BOTTLE SERVICE, RECEPTIONISTS and CLOAK ATTENDANTS.

BARTENDER requirements:

- Minimum 2 years’ Experience behind fast paced bars. But not essential

- Valid Victorian RSA

- Fully vaccinated for Covid 19

- A strong personality and work ethic is essential

- Customer service skills

- Solid understanding of classic cocktails preferable, full training provided

- Late nights and early mornings are required

BUSSIES requirements:

- Must be physically fit and able to keep up with the fast pace

- Ability to take direction and attention to detail essential

- Late nights and early mornings are required

RECEPTION and CLOAK ATTENDANT requirements:

- Good cash handling skills

- Great personality

- Good organising skills

- Late nights required

BOTTLE SERVICE requirements:

- Physically fit to keep up with the fast pace

- Amazing, strong, bubbly personality with great communication skills

- Solid understanding for floor service

- Experience essential.
